TIPS:
Use our MUTE Vibration Isolating Wall Clips for a better performing resilient installatiion and reduce resonant frequecies transferred via the wall. Combine this with a layer of our MUTE Mass Loaded Vinyl to further increase sound-blocking performance.

FRequently asked questions
Q. How do I specify this in my project or recieve an accurate quotation?
The following are design considerations to keep when usingMUTE Perforated Panels in your project:
A1. Sizes: MUTE Perforated Panels can be fabricated with a maximumsize of 1200mm Width x 2400mm Length. Larger sizes can only be accommodated inthe length dimension, and this is highly dependent on what the hole size andsizes required are. To accurately specify the system, a maximum length of1200x2400mm is ideal.
Custom sizes can be accommodated lower than the maximum size. Any shape andsize is possible upon request of our team. Due to in-house manufacturing forall parts of the system, turn-around time for standard finishes and sizes isshorter than custom sizes.
A2. Finishes: MUTE offers a range of Natural and Engineered woodveneers that are always kept in stock. This allows our team to quicklyship standard sized and standard finish items. Custom finishes to match yourdesign are available upon request and our team can work on matching a veneerused across your project. Painted and Laminate finishes are available uponrequest. Any finishes apart from wood veneer have a cost and lead timeimplication. Hole sizes and pattern can play a role in deciding what finisheswill render the cleanest results during the fabrication of the panels.
A3. Installation: The system is designed to account for a 5mm gapbetween panels to render a clean result for a wall mounted installation. Themaximum standard size for a wall installation is 1200x2400mm for a singlepanel. The system is designed to use standard T24 grid system for a ceiling installation. The maximum standard size for ceiling installations is 1200x600mm for a singlepanel.
A4. Acoustic Performance: Perforated panels are most effective when the'open area' factor is high. A 20mm hole pattern renders a higher open areafactor than a 5mm hole pattern. This open area is the defining factor in howmuch sound energy can pass through the panel. The system uses a high-densitybroadband absorber behind the perforated panels which drives the sound-absorptionof the system. Higher open area of the perforated panels means higher soundabsorption.
I’m not sure how this is to be used. See how it works
A5. Application: MUTE Perforated panels can be used as a wallcladding solution, ceiling cladding solution and be used across joineryapplications like cupboards, furniture and area-dividers.
A. MUTE Perforated panels are products of excellent construction, combinedwith the support of designers, engineers and technicians who are purpose drivenin addressing architectural acoustics.
